The best thing about the guitar amp business is the people.  Not just the people in the industry, not just the store front and online music dealers, not just my customers, not just the friendly folks who send me emails and ask questions, not just any ONE of these groups.

It's all of them.  It's the whole community.

www.dictionary.com defines community as:

"A ... group sharing common characteristics or interests and perceived or perceiving itself as distinct in some respect from the larger society within which it exists."

That's pretty cool.  All of us guitar freaks certainly have an overriding common characteristic: we all love the guitar.  And, I believe we do think of ourselves as "distinct" - not in a negative way, but rather in a fun way filled with joy and wonder created by our common bond, the guitar.

Being part of a community populated by people that share a passion for a 'thing' that can be so expressive and liberating and that can create incredible emotional responses in ourselves and others is a very cool thing.

So, I consider myself extremely lucky to be in a position to communicate with new people in our community everyday.  It brings a smile to my face and much pleasure.

I'm proud and grateful to be a part of the music community.  And I look forward to contributing to it as best I can via Mack Music for the rest of my life.

Great fun.  Great memories.  Great people!

Thank you, one and all.
